Good Neighbors Tanzania – Senior Sponsorship Data Management Officer

Location: Head Office, Dar es Salaam

Contract Duration: 1 Year (Contract extension subject to funding availability, performance, or/and mutual agreement)

Established in Tanzania in 2005, Good Neighbors is dedicated to creating an environment where children’s rights are protected, and communities experience sustainable development through empowerment, leadership, and ownership.

Position: Senior Sponsorship Data Management Officer

Reports to: Operations Manager, Country Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure 98% accuracy of all collected and registered children’s data [CIF/ACL/APR & GML] through GN Child Sponsorship System for all CDPs, collaborating with colleagues for other CDPs.
  2. Review and check every child’s data according to sponsorship status, age, gender, and basic information [Family/Education/Health] for proper monitoring and management.
  3. Receive, review, and process all Child Photos, updating children’s information daily and quarterly.
  4. Ensure accurate updating of all presented data into sponsorship databases for ongoing and new activities.
  5. Prepare and submit periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannually, and annually).
  6. Develop and manage budgets for specific activities as per the approved work plan.
  7. Develop and share Sponsorship communication plans with community groups.
  8. Conduct Sponsorship basic training to develop the capacity of the program team.

Qualifications, Experiences, and Competencies:

  • University Degree in Community Development, Statistics, Database Management, Child Protection, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in data management, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Child sponsorship, monitoring, and management.
  • Exceptional time, task, and resource management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet access.

Other Competencies/Attributes:

  • Report writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy, confidentiality, and quality.
  • Ability to multitask, flexibility, adaptability to transitions.
  • Good motivational organizational skills.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
  • Teamwork and working with other beneficiaries.
