About UDSM: The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is currently inviting applications for the position of Laboratory Technician II – Mechanical/Industrial. Position Overview: UDSM is hiring one Laboratory Technician II – Mechanical/Industrial to carry out specified tasks connected with research, laboratory practicals, students’ projects, consultancy, and services under close supervision. The role also involves assisting in the repair and maintenance of laboratory or workshop facilities, providing assistance to senior staff in relevant fields of operation, and performing other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out specified tasks connected with research, laboratory practicals, students’ projects, consultancy, and services under close supervision.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of laboratory or workshop facilities.
- Provide assistance to senior staff in relevant fields of operation.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification and Experience:
- Holders of Diploma (NTA 6) in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with a minimum of Lower Second Class from a recognized institution.
Remuneration: PUSS 2
