Position: Food & Beverage Host/Hostess

Key Responsibilities:

Warmly welcome guests upon arrival at the food and beverage outlets, providing a positive first impression and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and provide recommendations on food and beverage options based on guest preferences and dietary requirements.
Take orders accurately and efficiently, relaying special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen and bar staff as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented dining area, including setting and clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and replenishing table supplies.
Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any issues or concerns to ensure guest satisfaction and retention.
Assist in coordinating reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times.
Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient service delivery.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food, utensils, and equipment.
Uphold Rotana Hotels’ brand standards and policies, demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
Participate in training sessions and development programs to enhance product knowledge, service skills, and job performance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel environment.
Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and grooming standards.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
