Position Overview: UDSM is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Laboratory Assistant II-Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specified laboratory tasks under close supervision, ensuring the cleanliness of laboratory glassware, and maintaining instruments and equipment in the laboratory. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specified laboratory tasks under close supervision.
- Conduct general cleaning of laboratory glassware.
- Take care of instruments and equipment in the laboratory.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting officer.
Qualification and Experience:
- Holders of Form IV certificate plus Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET) Level II or Trade Test Grade II in Civil Draughting from VETA or other institutions recognized by VETA.
- Relevant experience in a laboratory setting will be an added advantage.
Remuneration: PUSS 1
