About UDSM: The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is currently accepting applications for the position of Laboratory Scientist II – Aquaculture. UDSM is committed to academic excellence and is looking for qualified individuals to contribute to the field of Aquaculture.
Position Overview: UDSM is seeking one Laboratory Scientist II – Aquaculture to organize practical sessions for undergraduate students, participate in consultancy projects under the supervision of senior staff, assist academic staff in research and development activities, plan and supervise maintenance of laboratory/workshop facilities, guide technicians and artisans, and perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize practical sessions for undergraduate students in the field of Aquaculture.
- Participate in consultancy projects under the close supervision of senior staff.
- Assist academic staff in their research and development activities related to Aquaculture.
- Plan and supervise the maintenance of laboratory/workshop facilities.
- Provide guidance to technicians and artisans in their daily activities.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification and Experience:
- Holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries, Aquatic Environmental Sciences and Conservation, Marine Sciences, or Environmental Sciences from a recognized and reputable institution.
Remuneration: PUSS 4
