About the job
The Government Account Manager for a Creative Marketing Agency manages and grows relationships with government clients, including federal, state, and local agencies. In addition to managing existing government accounts, the Account Manager will be responsible for business development and identifying new business opportunities.
Some of the critical responsibilities of the role include the following:
1. Developing and executing a strategic plan for growing the agency's government business, including identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with potential clients.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with government clients, including identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers.
3. Collaborating with internal teams to develop and deliver high-quality marketing campaigns, creative content, and other services in response to client needs.
4. Ensuring all agency work meets government compliance requirements and regulations.
5. Managing and tracking project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
6. Communicating regularly with clients to update project status and identify new opportunities.
7. Conduct market research to identify potential new government clients and opportunities for growth.
8. Develop proposals, presentations, and other business development materials to support new business opportunities.
9. Building and maintaining a pipeline of potential new business opportunities and leading the agency's efforts to pursue these opportunities.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with government clients, a strong understanding of government procurement processes, and excellent communication and project management skills. They should also have a proven track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and growing revenue in a government account management role.
