Margin Assurance Business Analyst at Vodacom

Role Overview:

As the Margin Assurance Business Analyst at Vodacom Tanzania, your primary responsibility is to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the M-Pesa/GSM revenue stream. The role demands a keen focus on continuous improvements within the revenue chain, implementing preventive controls, and identifying anomalies.

Key Accountabilities:

Regularly review and verify the accurate implementation of M-Pesa/GSM published tariffs on Vodacom systems.
Conduct quality assurance testing on crucial processes and systems in M-Pesa/GSM.
Monitor, prevent, identify, and remedy potential errors in M-Pesa/GSM.
Perform routine reconciliation and gap analysis of M-Pesa/GSM revenue streams.
Monitor bill payment/collection/invoice through multiple system checks and balances.
Develop predictive revenue leakage controls using machine-learning algorithms.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and implement best Margin Assurance practices.
Utilize Data Science techniques/tools to automate Margin Assurance processes and aggregate data from disparate sources.

Educational Background: Degree in at least one of the following – IT, Accounting, Technology, or Engineering.
Data Analysis Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, ACL, Python for data analysis.
Knowledge Base: Familiarity with revenue assurance methodologies and Data Science tools and languages.
