Position: Marketing Officer
Reports to: Project Manager, Technical Manager
Location: Mbozi District in Songwe Region
Contract Duration: 1 Year (Contract extension subject to funding availability, performance, or/and mutual agreement)

Role Overview: Good Neighbors Tanzania is seeking an experienced individual to join as a Marketing Officer. Reporting to the Country Director and directly supervised by the Project Manager and Technical Manager, the Marketing Officer will be responsible for AMCOS business and marketing-related activities under the KOICA project, “Promote Income-generating through empowering coffee producers’ cooperatives on Climate Change Adaptation in Mbozi District, Southern Highland Tanzania.”
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to AMCOS’ business activities and contribute to the development of marketing strategies.
- Identify and develop partnerships with organizations and training institutions for small business development, micro-credit, and financial planning.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and reporting of the progress of KOICA project activities.
- Prepare and share weekly KOICA operating reports in a timely manner.
- Prepare Annual/Bi-annual reports for KOICA project and activities execution.
- Ensure that project activities align with KOICA and government policies and guidelines.
- Participate in project stakeholders’ meetings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB), local curing companies, and AMCOS.
- Establish good networking relationships with multiple stakeholders, advocating for their participation in the project.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s or degree in Marketing, Social Business, or related majors.
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in Social Economy, Cooperative business, and related fields.
- Project proposal and report writing skills.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluency in both English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule work.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work in an international and multi-national environment.
