Position Description: The Barrick Africa Middle East Team is expanding and seeking a Superintendent – Asset Protection to join our ranks. Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets at the North Mara Gold Mine.
Manage security for all employees and contractors at the mine site.
Provide advice on security crime trends and risk assessment.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and operating standards.
Maintain high standards of security training for all employees and contractors.
Educate personnel on company security procedures, policies, and safety standards.
Manage compliance with existing legislation in Tanzania.
Oversee the security of mine product, process, and property.
Represent the company in meetings with government and stakeholders.
Prepare for and respond to emergencies and contingencies affecting mine security and safety.

Qualification Requirements:

Higher qualification/Degree in a related field.
Qualification in security operations and asset protection.
Awareness of Mines Health and Safety Act.

Experience And Competencies Needed:

10 years of leadership and management experience.
Project management experience, including surveillance projects.
Proficiency in crime investigation and asset protection best practices.
Strong understanding of surveillance equipment capabilities.
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Financial management ability.
Excellent communication and administrative skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and foster relationships.
Culturally aware with an understanding of the Tanzanian government system.
