Job Summary:

As a Database & Servers Analyst, your responsibility is to manage the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of all GTIS Servers, Database, and Storage infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the appropriate use of platform technology to support business processes, promoting reliability and efficiency.

Job Description:

Accountability: Operations (40%)

• Provide GTIS servers, database, backup, restoration, and storage availability reporting.
• Facilitate changes to reports needed by the business, ensuring timely availability.
• Support GTIS servers, database, backup, restoration, and storage availability for Business Users.
• Initiate actions to reduce incidents impacting availability.
• Recognize shortfalls in availability and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Line Manager on areas to maintain or improve availability.
• Coordinate changes to GTIS servers, database, and storage.
• Stay updated on technology advancements and best practices.

Accountability: Cyber Security (40%)

• Ensure proper testing for GTIS servers, database, backup, restoration, and storage changes.
• Work closely with Release/AV/Patches Analysts.
• Review & Remediate VAPT and patches assigned to GTIS team.
• Provide first-line support to GTIS services.
• Compile and review Testing Deliverables.
• Conduct installation procedure tests.
• Participate in functional, performance, and integration testing.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Validate and communicate results of testing activities.
• Drive own Performance Development.

Accountability: Risk Management (20%)

• Build relationships with the country IT Risk and Governance team.
• Contribute to the improvement of the risk profile through governance, risk management, controls, and compliance.
• Undertake necessary training for role performance.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 1-3 years of IT-related experience.
• Experience in IT Technology infrastructure and Server & Database Administration is advantageous.
