Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international, independent medical humanitarian organization, is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of BIOMED MANAGER in Dar es Salaam.
Job Summary:
The BIOMED MANAGER will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics activities related to Biomed equipment in the project. This role ensures adherence to MSF protocols and standards, aiming for the optimal running of mission projects.
Required Criteria:
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- Degree or Diploma as a Biomedical technician, biomedical engineer
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in biomedical service management.
Languages:
- English and Swahili (fluent, oral & written) required
Accountabilities:
- Provide support to the Medical Coordinator and Mission Pharma for biomed equipment planning, annual budgeting, and ordering.
- Participate in the definition of objectives and planning of biomedical activities, reviewing annual budgets to address mission and population needs.
- Monitor and ensure the implementation of biomed activities in projects, complying with MSF standards, protocols, and procedures.
- Coordinate and organize equipment/support exchange between projects, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage biomed technicians, elaborate on their activities planning, and participate in HR processes.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on the use, control, preventive maintenance, and basic repair of common equipment.
- Participate in monthly reports, visit reports, and technical aspects of maintenance activities.
