Why does rain affect my reception?

Heavy rain may cause signal interference, a phenomenon known as “Rain fade.” It weakens satellite signals as they pass through raindrops. This is a natural occurrence in satellite systems globally, and it’s beyond our control.

Rain fade affects signals in two ways:

  1. Satellite signals weaken as they pass through raindrops.
  2. Storms in locations where signals originate and transmit can affect your reception, even if the storm is not in your area.

My decoder says No signal, what can I do?

  1. Check that the cable from the satellite dish is connected to the “LNB in” port on your decoder.
  2. Verify signal strength: Press Menu, go to Search, and check signal intensity and quality.
    • Intensity: Should be 70%
    • Quality: Should be 60%
  3. If values are lower, contact your installer to align the dish properly.

The signal is distorted/scratches a lot, what could be the problem?

  1. Check signal strength as mentioned above.

How can I find the right angle for receiving a clear signal?

It is recommended not to attempt this yourself. Contact the technician who installed your satellite dish.

My decoder says Insert Smartcard/Smartcard is inserted incorrectly.

Ensure your smartcard is correctly inserted with the copper plate facing downwards. If issues persist, check registration or contact the agent who sold the kit.

My decoder says smartcard never paired/pairing required.

  1. If not registered, dial 15050*5# for activation.
  2. If paired, ensure correct smartcard. Contact AzamTV for assistance.

Why am I getting an “Access Denied” message?

  1. Check if payment for the right package is made.
  2. Ensure the channel is available in your region.
  3. Check for parental control locks.

How do I activate parental control?

  1. Know your password (default is 0000).
  2. Press Menu, go to system, OK on Parameter Set, go to Password Setting, and follow prompts.
  3. Set parental control: Menu > Digital TV > Channel Manager > Lock (yellow button).

My decoder shows a flashing orange light, what can I do?

Press the Red “Power” button on your remote control to turn on the decoder.

I’m getting two audio sounds on a single channel, what can I do?

Press “Audio” on your remote control, then scroll left or right for proper sound.

I’m not getting audio, only video, what can I do?

Press “Audio” on your remote control, then scroll left or right for proper sound. Check audio cable connections.

I can’t play recorded video, what can I do?

Ensure the flash drive with recorded content is inserted and press “Media” on your remote control.

I can’t record any programs, what should I do?

Insert a flash drive with sufficient space. Press REC on your remote control to record.

The TV displays the AzamTV Logo with crystals’ background and I can hear music.

Press OK and then left or right arrow keys to go to the AzamTV Channel List.

The decoder displays the channel number but the TV is blank.

Reboot your decoder. If the issue persists, press Menu, go to Search, and press OK. On Auto Search, press OK twice to re-scan channels.

How do I re-scan the decoder again?

Press Menu, go to Search, and press OK. On Auto Search, press OK twice to re-scan all channels.

I have done a re-scan, but I’m still missing some channels and/or getting only sound, no picture.

Set your decoder to factory settings: Press Menu, go to system, OK on Factory Default, and press OK twice. Do not switch off your decoder until the process is complete.
