About UDSM: The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is recruiting candidates for the position of Auxiliary Police (Constable). UDSM is committed to maintaining a secure environment, and the selected candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the university’s premises.

Position Overview: UDSM is seeking 12 individuals for the position of Auxiliary Police (Constable). The successful candidates will be responsible for guarding sensitive areas, conducting vehicle and visitor searches, assisting in firefighting, reporting security-related occurrences, implementing preventive measures against theft and insecurity, and performing other duties assigned by supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guard sensitive areas requiring high-security measures.
2. Conduct vehicle and visitor searches.
3. Assist in firefighting activities.
4. Report security-related occurrences to supervisors.
5. Take preventive measures against possible theft and insecurity.
6. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

Qualification and Experience:

• Holders of Form IV/Form VI certificate of Secondary Education/Bachelor Degree/Diploma or Certificate in any field.
• Basic Auxiliary Police Training Certificate from Police Training College.
• The candidate must be between the ages of 18 and 25 with good physical, mental, and eyesight health conditions, with no criminal records, and must be vetted by the Police.

Remuneration: PGSS 2.1
