Job Overview:
As a Food & Beverage Director, your primary responsibility is to provide leadership and management for the Food & Beverage Division. You will be accountable for operational assets, personnel actions, personal property, and overall results. This role involves establishing business plans to ensure long-term growth, profitability, and guest loyalty.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and promote the hotel’s operational excellence.
- Direct all operational activities in line with the Hotel’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
- Set periodical business plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Analyze daily reports to check irregularities and conduct random checks to ensure standards are consistently followed.
- Coordinate the development, interpretation, and implementation of hotel policies, operating procedures, and training programs for the food and beverage staff.
- Approve the employment and termination of food and beverage staff, conduct on-the-job training programs, and build the capacity of the team.
- Ensure the implementation of HACCP policies and procedures are consistently followed throughout the F&B Division.
- Coordinate promotional plans and menu cycles with relevant departments.
- Develop and maintain effective communications between all operating departments.
- Conduct daily F&B meetings, maintain a favourable working relationship with all divisions, and ensure F&B outlets update Guest Preference databases regularly.
- Safeguard guests and employees by applying safety, accident prevention, fire drills, and first aid knowledge.
Requirements:
- Excellent English language skills required; knowledge of local or other European languages desirable.
- Proven leadership, motivational, and training skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Self-discipline, initiative, and leadership ability.
- Ability to motivate employees to work as a team, ensuring that food and service meet appropriate standards.
- Creative, effective leader, and team player with a high degree of professionalism, human resources management capabilities, business acumen, energy, and determination.
- Detailed F&B knowledge, including wine and spirits, with operational experience.
- Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Profound knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, expenses, and payroll control.
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
- Ability to think and plan strategically.
