About UDSM: The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is inviting applications for the position of Laboratory Engineer II – Computer Engineering. UDSM is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and is seeking qualified individuals to contribute to the technical and academic environment in the field of Computer Engineering.
Position Overview: UDSM is hiring one Laboratory Engineer II – Computer Engineering to assist in technical duties, research and development activities, consultancy, managing the laboratory, and maintaining facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with academicians to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory and contribute to the academic and technical growth in the field of Computer Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in technical duties and responsibilities requiring planning and design competence in students’ practical/projects.
- Support research and development activities in the field of Computer Engineering.
- Assist in consultancy activities related to Computer Engineering.
- Manage the respective laboratory effectively.
- Contribute to the maintenance of facilities within the laboratory.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer.
Qualification and Experience:
- Holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent qualification from any recognized institution.
- Must be registered by Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Graduate Engineer.
Remuneration: PUSS 4
