Job Summary: As a Customer Service Advisor Intern, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to walk-in branch customers, handling cash transactions, and assisting with various cash management tasks. You will also have the opportunity to learn and develop essential skills in banking operations under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cash counter services, including cashing cheques, processing withdrawals and deposits, and handling foreign currency transactions.
  • Supervise other tellers at the counter and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain cash levels in the strong room and order branch cash as needed.
  • Restock ATM cash supply and ensure ATM uptime by addressing minor faults.
  • Provide cover for Branch custodian and offer feedback and support to colleagues.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, operational risk frameworks, and internal policies and standards.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of cash handling processes and banking systems.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in dealing with physical cash.
  • Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies.

Training Requirements:

  • Training in telephone skills, customer service, and ATM operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, and fraud prevention.
