Officer NPL Retail Recovery (1 Position)

Job Location: Head Office | Officer NPL Retail Recovery (1 Position) at NMB

Job Purpose: The Officer NPL Retail Recovery is responsible for coordinating with branches, debt collectors, legal counsel, and receiver managers to implement recovery strategies and collect non-performing loan exposure.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Record amounts collected and reconcile loan recovery and collection accounts monthly.
  2. Manage the recovery process by engaging debt collectors/auctioneers and realizing security through appropriate means.
  3. Follow up with debt collectors/auctioneers and ensure monthly reports are provided.
  4. Rectify accounts out of order by communicating with branches and customers, scheduling meetings, and issuing default and demand notices for accounts with over 90 days arrears.
  5. Regularly follow up on customers with arrears in the Retail portfolio.
  6. Support case reviews to understand issues, verify security, and determine action plans.
  7. Ensure all instructions affecting the portfolio are actioned and settlement requests are raised post discussion with the Line Manager.
  8. Rectify operational errors affecting accounts and escalate unresolved issues.
  9. Adhere to Banking credit policies, Insolvency Law, Company Act, and BOT regulations.
  10. Implement technical loan monitoring and recovery procedures.
  11. Demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Banking credit policies, Insolvency Law, Company Act, and BOT regulations.
  • Proficiency in technical loan monitoring and recovery procedures.
  • Attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Over 3 years of banking experience, preferably in Special Asset Management, Business Support, Recovery, or Workout Unit in a Commercial Bank.
