Insurance Specialist; General (1 Position)
Job Location: Head Office, HQ | Insurance Specialist; General (1 Position)
Job Purpose: The Insurance Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to all stakeholders in various aspects of general insurance, including sales, underwriting, reporting, and claims processing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the General insurance strategy.
- Ensure 80% retention of General insurance business through branch network renewals.
- Identify sales prospects proactively and engage in business development activities.
- Collaborate with the product team to design relevant general insurance products.
- Obtain and review insurance quotations to offer competitive policies to customers.
- Provide full support to customers during claim processes.
- Manage relationships with customers, branches, and stakeholders.
- Collect insurance incomes promptly and monitor new product performance.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly sales reports.
- Participate in cross-selling insurance products during bank-arranged activities.
- Build the capacity of branch sales teams and other Bank officers through coaching and mentoring.
- Conduct underwriting and supervise quotation issuance across the network.
- Provide technical support to branches on general insurance issues.
- Drive sales and promotional campaigns in line with Bank policies.
- Resolve customer complaints related to General Insurance promptly.
- Ensure adherence to underwriting procedures for all general insurance products.
- Provide system support to branches and identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Assist in timely insurance renewal follow-ups and adhere to bancassurance regulations.
- Support other departments when insurance assistance is required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Insurance.
- Understanding of banking products and legislation related to bancassurance.
- Strong analytical, numerical, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Good marketing skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance business, risk management, or related field.
- Master’s Degree/Postgraduate qualification in risk management, insurance business, or business fields is an added advantage.
- Certification or training in risk management and insurance business is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance business, with experience in underwriting, claims, and sales.
