Position Description:

Barrick Gold Corporation is currently seeking a skilled Hauling Equipment Operator III-Front End Loader to join our Africa Middle East Team. If you are committed to safety, integrity, and excellence in mining operations, we invite you to apply and become part of our diverse workforce.

Responsibilities:

Identify, rectify, or report all possible hazards on route and inside assigned working places daily during shifts.
Ensure zero involvement in incidents or accidents, promptly reporting any that occur to the Supervisor.
Complete Field Level Risk Assessment accurately for every assigned task.
Conduct housekeeping activities before and after completing tasks.
Adhere to the use of required PPE for the task at hand.
Attend daily shifts on time and participate actively as a valued team member.
Conduct Equipment Pre-Start Inspections before operating any equipment and report any substandard equipment.
Maintain communication throughout the shift by reporting regularly.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently within Standard Operating Procedure requirements to meet production targets.
Achieve daily planned targets without causing damage to equipment.

Qualification Requirements:

Ordinary Secondary Education (Form 4).
Sound knowledge of Open Pit Mining Operations.
Exemplary Front End Loader operation skills.
Basic Ground Control Training.
Valid Tanzanian Driver’s License.
Formal Training Certificate from an HME training institute, e.g., from VETA Institute.

Experience and Competencies Needed:

Experience in dealing with multi-cultural orientations.
Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience in Open Pit Mining Operations.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operating Front End Loader CAT 988, 990, 992, or equivalent brands.
Experience in operating other Heavy Mobile Equipment in Mining or Construction is advantageous.
