About the Job

Purpose of the Role:

We are currently seeking a Financial Director (M/F) for NETIS Tanzania, based in Dar Es Salaam. The Financial Director will provide strategic financial leadership, driving the financial health and performance of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage teams responsible for accounting, treasury, taxation, management control, audit, law, information systems, general services, and purchasing activities.
  • Define control system orientations and implement management procedures and indicators for activity monitoring and reporting to management.
  • Ensure the reliability of company accounts and the preparation of financial and accounting documents in accordance with legislation.
  • Supervise accounting teams to ensure timely and procedural compliance and production of quality reporting to the group.
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial data and adherence to IFRS accounting standards.
  • Supervise management control activities and result preparation.
  • Develop budgets and business plans aligned with shareholder and general management strategic decisions.
  • Develop company financing plans and approve cash budgets meeting external financing needs.
  • Maintain efficient working capital requirements and ensure positive cash generation from operations.
  • Define and monitor credit policy in collaboration with procurement and sales departments.
  • Seek bank assistance and investor support, adjusting outstanding balances to financial market changes.
  • Organize board meetings and general meetings in compliance with legal obligations.
  • Centralize and validate all company legal commitments (insurance, subcontracting) by controlling contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and oversee legal and contractual monitoring.
  • Define tax strategies with experts and maintain relations with tax services.
  • Supervise personnel administrative services including payroll, employment contracts, and personnel files.
  • Oversee recruitment, career management, and training initiatives.
  • Drive the implementation of new management tools such as ERP and reporting tools.
  • Ensure timely and reliable financial information dissemination.
  • Maintain relations with regulatory authorities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • CPA/ACCA/Masters in Finance, minimum in management, finance-accounting, control-accounting-audit with at least 8 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, social and business law, taxation, audit, and management control.
  • Experience in cross-disciplinary and hierarchical management.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
