Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is looking to hire Electricians to join and contribute to our team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Identify and rectify hazards in the workplace daily, conduct Field Level Risk Assessments, and comply with Standard Operating Procedures for safe work.
• Conduct scheduled equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area.
• Install, maintain, and overhaul electrical equipment.
• Attend to breakdowns, conduct fault-finding, and perform necessary checks.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced personnel.
• Execute tasks as instructed by superiors, including installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Prepare and maintain required records, reports, and logbooks accurately.

Qualification Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering qualification (FTC/IMTT/VETA Grade One Certificate).
• Ordinary/Advanced level certificate (Form IV/VI).
• Valid Driving License (added advantage).

Experience and Competencies:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Mining Industry and Voltage Switching (6.6KV).
• Experience in Emergency Power Generation (added advantage).

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

• Proficient in operating and switching 6.6KV power.
• Hazard identification and Risk assessment skills.
• Fluent in written and verbal English & Swahili.
• Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

About the Team:

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is located in north-west Tanzania, approximately 55 kilometers south of Lake Victoria. The mine commenced commercial production in 2001, containing gold, silver, and copper mineralization in sulphides.
