We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to fill the position of Country Director for BRAC Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management of BRAC Tanzania:
- Provide inclusive leadership across all functions of BRAC Tanzania.
- Ensure the development and implementation of a high-quality country strategic plan.
- Promote a culture of learning, development, and integrity within the organization.
- Uphold BRAC’s core values and mission in all operations.
- Oversee all administrative, financial, HR, logistics, procurement, and IT functions.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain security protocols and procedures to safeguard staff and assets.
Programme Development and Management:
- Provide support and guidance to ensure the effective implementation of projects and programs.
- Oversee the development and execution of project plans.
- Monitor and evaluate project activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance and quality standards are met for all projects.
- Drive initiatives around safeguarding, gender equity, and diversity.
Financial Management, Budgeting, and Operational Compliance:
- Strengthen financial sustainability through resource development efforts.
- Ensure strong financial and operational compliance.
- Lead grants acquisition and management efforts.
- Deliver regular, transparent, and accurate financial reports.
Resource Development and Management:
- Develop and implement a country-specific resource mobilization and fundraising strategy.
- Lead fundraising efforts from institutional, private, and corporate donors.
- Identify fundraising opportunities and develop quality proposals.
- Enhance external engagement and visibility to attract diverse donors.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the program.
- Provide support and guidance on safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Ensure team members are appropriately trained and supported.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social sciences, development management, economics, public policy, or related fields.
Experience Requirements:
- 15+ years of strategic program management experience in a developing country setting.
- 7-10 years of experience managing a country office in an international NGO.
- Experience in a leadership role within an NGO is preferred.
