Job Description:
Purpose of Role:
Ensure full accountability for all items under your responsibility while maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and safety in compliance with company safety rules and standards. Provide excellent support services to end-users and deliver efficient and effective service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the receiving of the right quality and correct quantity of items in accordance with order specifications and area SOP.
- Conduct stock takes and bin maintenance to ensure stock accuracy and correct bin locations.
- Physically inspect items received and ensure the correct documentation accompanies them.
- Update and publish the goods inward report.
- Generate and update the IR report and send it to suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers and coordinate returns.
- Coordinate with accounts on invoice queries.
- Maintain and keep records of receipt documentation.
- Update and maintain bin locations in ERP.
- Manage stock from binning to dispatching.
- Maintain relevant and accurate documentation for all transactions processed.
- Follow up on all stock issued on manual documentation during machine downtime.
- Ensure all issue documentation is signed off, and accurate records are maintained.
- Inspect and verify all returned stock.
- Pre-pick stock for planned maintenance tasks.
- Ensure accurate issuance of stock to end-users.
- Care for warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and stackers.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Perform any other tasks delegated by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- CIPS Advanced Certificate (Level 3) or equivalent (minimum).
- Certificate in a Mechanical/Business course (minimum).
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- High level of self-motivation and capacity for initiative.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate Diesel forklift/Electric forklift is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of basic health and safety.
