Position: Animation Designer

Location: Zambia

Summary: As an Animation Designer at Sharon’s Rose Logistics Ltd, you will play a crucial role in creating captivating and intricate animations for various media platforms, including smartphones, tablets, and the web. Collaborating with our design and illustration team, your responsibility will extend from crafting assets to breathing life into them, delivering cutting-edge motion graphic content.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with designers, illustrators, and instructional designers to create cohesive and engaging animations.
2. Animation Creation:
   • Develop complex computer animations tailored for different media platforms.
   • Contribute to the creation of animation storyboards and character animations.
   • Prepare conceptual layouts for animation projects.
3. Brainstorming and Innovation:
   • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, providing new design perspectives and innovative ideas.
4. Project Management:
   • Provide realistic timelines for each phase of the animation process.
   • Assist in selecting applicable audio, graphics, special effects, 2D animation, and 3D animation styles for projects.
5. Motion Graphics Enhancement:
   • Encode, convert, and edit videos, adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
6. Design and Illustration Collaboration:
   • Work collaboratively with the design and illustration team for photo editing, bespoke illustration, and icon design.
7. Stay Updated:
   • Stay current with animation technologies, techniques, and modern trends in product design, video games, and popular music to deliver cutting-edge work.

Requirements:

• A Diploma in graphic design, motion graphics, fine arts, multimedia arts, or any relevant diploma.
• 4+ years of experience as an animation designer.
• Hands-on computer graphic design experience, including video production design and animation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-end digital design skills.
• Ability to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines.
• Use visual design to solve an array of challenges.
• Effective time management, multitasking ability, and meeting deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for details.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
