Request for Proposal: Architectural Services

Bioversity International Consultancy – Dar es Salaam January 1, 2024

The Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) is seeking proposals for architectural services to support its research-based solutions that harness agricultural biodiversity. The aim is to sustainably transform food systems, addressing global challenges such as malnutrition, climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation.

Project Overview: The selected architect will collaborate with CIAT to provide structural fabrication services. This includes design preparation, drawings, development of a bill of quantities, quality checks, finishing and delivery, assembly, and installation. The project is based in the Arusha office, located within TARI Selian Center along Dodoma Road.

Scope of Work: The chosen firm will work closely with the Alliance’s operations team to assess current needs, gather input, and analyze available options for the facilities. Interested parties are encouraged to contact +255784725470 to arrange a site visit.

Timeline: The concept design phase is expected to conclude within a week from the date of agreement to allow sufficient time for meetings.

Submission Requirements: Interested companies must submit information demonstrating their qualifications for the consultancy. This should include experience in handling similar assignments, references, contact details, nature and value of supplies and services performed. Providing photos of completed projects will be advantageous.

Additionally, interested firms should include a brief organizational profile and copies of the Business Registration Certificate, Tax Identification Number (TIN), and certificates for necessary registration in respective boards, clearly indicating the registered category.
