Position: Media & Communication Officer

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Reports to: Programs Manager

Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

Starting Date: January 08, 2024

Closing Date: January 18, 2024

Job Description:

Key Result Areas:

• Support media & communication department.
• Capture high-quality photographs and videos for digital, print, and electronic media.
• Prepare documentaries for marketing and fundraising purposes.
• Design visibility material for projects in line with organizational guidelines.
• Undertake frequent field travel.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Capture still photographs of projects, events, trainings, workshops, and seminars.
• Undertake aerial videography of projects.
• Edit pictures, videos, and documentaries according to QC guidelines.
• Manage all media data in the QC media section.
• Ensure quick delivery of pictures and videos after each assignment.
• Prepare scripts and develop video case studies for each project.
• Film and prepare reels for social media.
• Conduct video interviews of beneficiaries, stakeholders, and government officials.
• Commit to meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
• Perform graphic designing for IEC material, banners, promotional material, project visibility, and reports.

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)

Career Level:

• Professional Experience in photography and videography of at least 2 years
