Position Overview: As a Project Manager at Barrick, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project structures, contract management, and providing technical solutions to engineering problems. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control functions. This role demands strong project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and Barrick health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Manage Maintenance team and contractors, ensuring necessary procedures, systems, and equipment for safe work.
• Assess current and future project structures and contract management processes.
• Develop project execution plans with proposed timelines.
• Provide technical interface with equipment suppliers and contractors.
• Plan and execute technical projects, managing cost, schedule, and quality control functions.
• Prepare project reports, project charters, scopes, and budgets.
• Drive the entire tender process, including scope preparation, bidder meetings, bid evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare progress reports, project budgets, estimate costs, and manage project resources.
• Train and mentor project teams and keep stakeholders aware of project progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Project Management Certification is advantageous.
• Valid Tanzanian driving license (Class B, C, D, and E).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years in a Project Management Role.
• Proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
• Experience in large-scale multidisciplinary projects exceeding USD 10,000,000.
• Working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and instrumentation systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Experience in the Mining Industry is an added advantage.
• Strong values in safety commitment, policy, and enforcement.
