Job Overview

Aventus Group, an international Fintech group with over 13 years of experience in developing products across three continents, is currently seeking an Operations Manager for one of its microfinance companies in Tanzania. Ideal Candidate:

• Proficiency in English at least at the upper-intermediate level.
• Willingness to relocate to Tanzania.
• Deep understanding of collection processes, including strategy development for managing problematic loans, technical collection tools, communication with IT teams, and coordination with external contractors for technical solutions integration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Clear understanding of the microfinance sector, PDL/installment products, and business management specifics.
• Successful experience in retail lending, preferably in a microfinance institution or the banking sector.
• Excellent business development skills and organizational strategy building.
• High level of responsibility and self-organization.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Experience in team development and motivation.
• Negotiation skills and ability to defend the business position.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination with all stakeholders related to the company’s current operations (HQ, partners, etc.).
• Representing the company’s interests in the market, including regulatory authorities.
• Developing the company’s operational activities, including Collection, Verification, Call-center, Telesales, and HR.
• Monitoring operational and financial results relative to plans and budgets.
• Ensuring a high level of service for customers.
• Building and managing the team.
• Configuring the required infrastructure in areas such as Collection, Verification, Call-center, Telesales.
• Implementing operational systems, processes, and policies to support the organization’s mission and company goals.
• Operational reporting.
• Experience with Webitel is desirable.
