Job Summary
As the Safari Reservations Manager, you will manage and sustain a portfolio of Business Banking – Enterprise customers, fostering long-term relationships based on efficient and reliable support for their businesses. This involves conducting quick risk assessments, ensuring consistency and quality of operational service within your portfolio, and maximizing sustainable risk-adjusted portfolio contribution.
Job Description
Main Accountabilities and Approximate Time Split
Accountability: Sales and Service – 70%
- Conduct annual reviews of customers’ borrowing facilities and actively seek to grow your portfolio by cross-selling to meet set targets.
- Consult with customer owners/managers on financial/credit issues and general business practices.
- Deal with customer complaints and determine effective products to meet their needs.
- Plan and coordinate marketing approaches for new business and develop existing relationships.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to risk service standards.
Accountability: Business Management – 25%
- Research, create, and follow up on a target list for potential new business.
- Identify priority customers and gather required information for credit applications.
- Monitor and control portfolio quality and manage “Early Warning List” customers to reduce risk.
- Adhere to procedures and guidelines within the BB RMCD.
Accountability: Staff Management – 5%
- Co-ordinate Business Banking customer management within the branch to provide consistent service quality and risk management.
Risk and Control Objective
- Act as a crisis coordinator in the event of major issues in the business unit.
- Review risk and compliance profiles of the business unit regularly and provide consultative support to the Managing Director.
- Adhere to Absa’s policies and procedures, keeping up-to-date on regulatory changes and completing mandatory training.
