Position Overview: Manager Trade Finance And Transactional Banking

Tanzania Commercial Bank is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, and highly organized Manager Trade Finance and Transactional Banking to join the Directorate of Corporate Banking.

Position Objective: The Manager Trade Finance and Transactional Banking will be responsible for controlling and managing the risk of the Trade and Transaction Banking portfolio, ensuring high-quality credit and services. The role involves leading a team to deliver through the creation of a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and lead the execution of Trade and Transaction Banking Strategy within the Corporate Banking Directorate strategy.
2. Direct ongoing product development and management strategy, implementing products successfully, and developing product end-state propositions.
3. Build and manage the trade products portfolio to generate revenues exceeding set targets.
4. Support relationship teams in recruiting, nurturing, and sustaining new Trade Transaction Banking relationships for potential growth and superior returns.
5. Maintain a productive working relationship with relevant departments to ensure sufficient support for Trade and Transaction Banking Business development, including proper control measures, clear guidelines, and business performance indicators.
6. Control and manage the risk of the Trade and Transaction Banking portfolio, ensuring a high-quality credit and services profile through adherence to risk management policies and procedures.
7. Maintain risk alertness, recognize and respond promptly to adverse business cycles or early warning signals within the Transaction Banking Team to consistently deliver agreed targets through the creation of a high-performance environment.
8. Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Education: Holder of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Commerce, or Business Administration majoring in Accountancy or Finance, Entrepreneurship, or equivalent qualifications from any recognized institution. Must have at least eight (8) years of working experience in the banking industry or a financial institution.
