Background:
Health Information System Programme (HISP) Tanzania is an organization dedicated to empowering governments, organizations, and communities to enhance the quality and efficiency of services through the appropriate utilization of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for inclusive technological and socio-economic development in Africa.

HISP Tanzania is an integral part of the global HISP network, which strives to strengthen Health Information Systems (HIS) in developing countries through a participatory approach. The organization focuses on designing and implementing sustainable and integrated information architectures and system solutions based on the philosophy of free and open-source software and open standards.

Job Summary:
We are in search of a highly motivated Information System Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing, documenting, and implementing business processes, systems, and requirements to enhance business operations and achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of business processes, systems development methodologies, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and document existing business processes, systems, and requirements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business needs.
3. Propose and implement improvements to enhance business operations.
4. Work closely with the development team to ensure effective system implementation.
5. Provide training and support to end-users.
6. Ensure data integrity and security in information systems.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an Information System Analyst or similar role.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Familiarity with free and open-source software philosophy and open standards.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Knowledge of health information systems is an advantage.

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Type of Contract: Full Time
