Position: Food & Beverage Waiter/Waitress

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the food and beverage outlets, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
• Provide recommendations on food and beverage selections, taking note of guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Take accurate orders from guests and transmit them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
• Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests they may have.
• Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area.
• Handle guest payments and process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to coordinate order delivery and maintain smooth operations.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of utensils and equipment.
• Uphold Rotana Hotels’ brand standards and values, delivering exceptional service with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment, preferably as a waiter/waitress.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
• Professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
