Position: Food & Beverage Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Assist in planning and organizing special events, promotions, and themed nights within the food and beverage outlets.
- Collaborate with the food and beverage management team to develop innovative menus and beverage offerings that meet guest preferences and market trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain adequate stock for daily operations.
- Oversee the setup and presentation of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor food and beverage service staff, providing guidance on service techniques, product knowledge, and guest interaction.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest and the company.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the food and beverage department, ensuring consistency and quality across all outlets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and other operational data, providing regular reports to management as required.
- Uphold Rotana Hotels’ brand standards and policies, promoting a positive image of the company at all times.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in hospitality management, food and beverage service, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a food and beverage coordination or supervisory role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and service standards.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and hospitality management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
