Position: Food & Beverage Captain
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the food and beverage service team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Assist in the training and development of food and beverage service staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure sufficient stock for daily operations.
- Oversee the setup and presentation of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns or complaints, and provide recommendations on menu items and beverages.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events, promotions, and themed nights within the food and beverage department.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, expenses, and other relevant operational data.
- Uphold Rotana Hotels’ brand standards and policies at all times, promoting a positive image of the company.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in hospitality management, food and beverage service, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and retention.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and service standards.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
