About TEVI Microfinance Limited: TEVI Microfinance Limited is a rapidly growing microfinance institution operating in Dar es Salaam for nearly 5 years. The institution provides demand-oriented financial services aimed at empowering micro-enterprises.

Job Overview: TEVI Microfinance Limited is currently hiring a qualified, highly motivated, self-disciplined, and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial transactions of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and analyze company financial statements (monthly, quarterly semi-annually, and yearly) and provide insights into financial performance.
  2. Build proper internal control and corporate governance by developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  3. Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, etc.
  4. Prepare reports according to regulatory and company requirements.
  5. Manage the auditing process both internal and external and ensure compliance with all audit requirements.
  6. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
  7. Maintain an accurate and updated fixed asset register.
  8. Perform all company administrative activities.
  9. Work with section leaders to develop and monitor departmental budgets and provide financial guidance and analysis to support decision-making.
  10. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to the Managing Director and management.
  11. Prepare budgets and provide ongoing monitoring and analysis of actual versus budgeted results.
  12. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  13. Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and capital investment.
  14. Perform any other duties as may be delegated or assigned from time to time.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance or a related field.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 6 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • The successful candidate must have worked in microfinance for more than 3 years in the same position.
  • Experience working with a loan management system is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets is required.
