Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer Support Officer plays a pivotal role in providing support and management for technical resources, ensuring the seamless operation of client services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing maintenance and support for moderately to highly complex client services, concurrently working on one or more projects as a team member.
  • Conducting staff orientation and collaborating with Administration and Finance on asset management.
  • Assisting with IT Asset movement report and overseeing the IT hardware asset portfolio concerning risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives.
  • Managing the acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets.
  • Maintaining passwords and users’ credentials to ensure system security and data integrity.
  • Adhering to the integrity of controls, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Managing various devices and software, including desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desk phones, standard desktop applications (e.g., Office 365), specialist applications, mobile apps, and network services.

Analytical / Information

  • Providing high-quality first-line support to customers of IT services, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Resolving issues related to desktop computer systems, peripherals, standard operating systems, and software.
  • Offering support for mobile solutions, such as smartphones or tablets, including device configuration and basic user training.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Reflecting on service issues and customer interactions, providing feedback to the IT team for continuous service improvement.
  • Undertaking administration tasks on the telephone management software for all supported customers.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of basic to moderately complex hardware and software products, along with strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant IT work experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
