Board Member Vacancies:
The Board of Directors at CRDB Bank PLC invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill two positions of Board Members. These positions represent the group shareholders owning shares below 1% and the group of shareholders owning shares above 1% and below 10%. Successful candidates will be elected by all shareholders, and their names will be presented at the Annual General Meeting for election. Click here to apply
Knowledge and Education Background:
In accordance with Section 5(2) of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act (Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2021, candidates for the Board of Directors positions should possess expertise and knowledge in one of the following academic disciplines: Banking, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Law, or Economics.
Skills and Expertise:
Given the current composition of the Board, technological advancements, and growth in digital banking, the following skills are required:
- Data Science
- Cyber Security
- Credit
- Law
- Accounting
- Information Technology
- Insurance
- Strategic Communication
- Investment and Capital Ventures
Roles of Board of Directors:
- Determine the Bank’s vision, mission, and values for continuity and legal existence.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the Bank’s strategy to achieve its vision and mission.
- Govern the Bank through broad policies and objectives, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Monitor risk identification and management to enhance shareholder value.
- Select and appoint the Managing Director, reviewing and evaluating their performance regularly.
