Job Overview:

Natural Extracts Industries Ltd (NEI), a pioneer in sustainable, natural flavor manufacturing in Tanzania for global export, is seeking a Junior IT Manager to join their team in Moshi. NEI focuses on the production of natural extracts, starting with vanilla, and operates across the entire value chain, from cultivation to international sales. The IT Manager, Jr will play a crucial role in overseeing strategic planning, technical operations, project management, team leadership, and maintaining strong relationships with partners and vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Management:

Develop and implement the IT strategy aligning with organizational objectives.
Manage IT budgets, forecasting expenses, and ensuring efficient fund utilization.
Implement IT policies and procedures, including security, data management, and access control.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and manage IT operations to meet regulatory requirements.

Technical Operations:

Manage network and IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and secure operations.
Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot problems, and offer training as needed.
Maintain and update IT software and hardware, ensuring systems protection and data security.

Project Management:

Plan and manage IT projects, defining requirements, creating project plans, and monitoring progress.
Communicate project updates to stakeholders, manage risks, and ensure timely project delivery.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, hire, and train IT staff, ensuring alignment with NEI’s core values.
Provide ongoing coaching and development to IT staff, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Manage relationships with partners, vendors, and service providers.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct activities to ensure successful IT-enabled operations and business performance.
Uphold NEI’s mission and values, following all work instructions, safety rules, and certifications.
Perform any other duties required by supervisors or management to achieve company objectives.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking Engineering, or related disciplines.
Familiarity with agile philosophy and experience with scrum & kanban.
Minimum 5 years of IT Operations experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems.
Strong leadership skills, effective communication in English and Swahili.
Integrity, passion for learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with LDAP, IT Devices Management, ERP Systems, and Cloud computing.
