We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Manager for our vehicle fleet in Zanzibar. If you hold a fleet management degree, possess more than 10 years of experience, preferably in Africa, and have the desire to work on an island, you might be the perfect fit.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Experience as an auto mechanic.
• Proficient in creating and establishing fleet policies and procedures, covering vehicle assignment, replacement cycling, personal use, and accident reporting.
• Experience in pricing, specifications, and purchasing or leasing vehicles.
• Understanding and ability to track the total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Proficiency in developing strategies for fuel efficiency.
• Maintenance of detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
• Developing and implementing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
• Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maintain the schedule.
• Monitoring drivers’ behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
• Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers’ behavior and track vehicles in case of theft.
• Reporting to Managing Director & Head of Finance.

Qualifications:

• Fleet Management degree or similar.
• 10-15 years of experience as a Fleet Manager of a fleet with more than 100 vehicles – preferably in Africa.
• Auto Mechanic degree or similar.
• Proficient in English (mother tongue); knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
• 10-15 years of experience in team management with 30 members or more.
• European or American degree needed.
