Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
Project Direct Implementation:
- Achieve high-quality project implementation and reporting of project interventions.
- Collaborate with partners, allies, LGAs, and stakeholders to influence policy and achieve multiplied impact.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all field activities, program strategies, resources, and responsibilities for appropriate progress toward objectives.
- Contribute to improved food security, resilience, and employment opportunities among targeted beneficiaries.
- Identify and work with vulnerable households in the assigned project location within the District Council.
- Promote social cohesion between refugees and host communities for peace and stability.
- Enhance gender equality and protection for project beneficiaries.
- Spearhead all day-to-day project operations.
Project Budget and Resource Management:
- Participate in annual and multiyear budget plans, reviews, and report preparation.
- Ensure compliance with WVT finance policy and donor requirements in resource management.
- Manage project funds, monitor monthly budget burn rates, and support internal and external auditing.
- Create synergies and resource leverage through facilitating integrated district and local level planning and budgeting.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEAL) and Reporting:
- Adapt the project’s theory of change in collaboration with project colleagues.
- Develop and implement the program’s impact measurement system, including data collection for tracking program performance.
- Collaborate with other World Vision projects, ensuring evidence for policy impact and contribution to strategies.
- Prepare and share quality project progress reports.
- Participate in annual program review meetings and reflective learning forums.
Networking, Visibility, and Donor Recognition:
- Establish and maintain good relations with partners, LGAs, stakeholders, and consortium members.
- Ensure project interventions and donors are recognized through project branding and participation in various forums.
- Develop effective linkages and collaboration with key public institutions.
- Represent the project in learning and sharing meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Facilitate documentation and sharing of processes, challenges, best practices, and lessons learned.
Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role:
Required Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the implementation of agriculture or rural development projects.
- Experience with INGOs, WFP, and other UN Agencies projects management is an added advantage.
- Experience working in rural communities, with refugees, and host communities.
Required Education, Training, License, Registration, and Certification:
- University degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Agriculture, Rural Development, or related field.
- Advanced degree in the above fields is an added advantage.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Report writing skills.
- Strong facilitation skills in the community.
- Basic understanding of advocacy approaches.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swahili.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Commitment to WV Values, Mission, and Vision.
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:
- Willingness to work in rural areas.
- On-call; 5%.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in rural areas.
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in both Swahili and English languages.
Job Locations: This position will be based in Kigoma.
