About Us: VAIMA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager in the ICT sector. As a key player in Axis Solutions, you will be responsible for conducting pre-sales and post-sales technical support, driving business development, marketing, and achieving revenue targets.

Main Purpose of the Job: Accomplish pre-sales and post-sales technical support, conduct business development, marketing, and sales activities, and achieve set revenue targets for Axis Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Conduct performance reviews with superiors monthly.
  • Utilize CRM tools for capturing and adhering to sales and marketing activities.
  • Formulate and implement unit strategy with peers and supervisors.
  • Develop and conduct sales campaigns, marketing, and promotional plans.
  • Generate revenue through new sales, cross-selling, installations, and training.
  • Provide insights into new product development and innovation.
  • Analyze and investigate price, demand, and competition activities.
  • Maintain positive levels of customer satisfaction through pre and post-sales support.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and adherence to complaints handling procedures.
  • Develop and enhance the company’s brand.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
  • Manage relationships with external providers and technology partners.

Key Decisions:

  • Develop business development strategy for the territory.
  • Draft and oversee the implementation of the budget.
  • Determine types of training and their frequency.
  • Decide on the conduct of business development campaigns, marketing, and promotional plans.
  • Choose new markets to venture into.
  • Decide on new products and value-added services.

Supervisory Controls: Receive supervision from the Country Manager through meetings, emails, memos, and daily interaction.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree / MBA is an added advantage.
  • Business Management and Marketing diplomas or certificates.

Experience Required:

  • At least five years in a similar role.
  • At least three years of supervisory and leading experience.
