Job Overview: We are currently recruiting for the position of an Account Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a finance or accounting background, relevant work experience, and a solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Systems Application and Products (SAP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of Navision software
  • Detail-oriented

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurate processing of supplier invoices and petty cash vouchers.
  2. Timely financial accounting, journal entry, fixed assets bookings, recording receipts, and processing payments.
  3. Daily reconciliation of bank accounts and resolution of outstanding items.
  4. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolution of outstanding items.
  5. Preparation of expense schedules on a monthly basis.
  6. Customer and supplier account reconciliations periodically.
  7. Monthly review of debtors and follow-up on outstanding debts.
  8. Preparation of management and variance reports with monthly commentaries.
  9. Ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
  10. Preparation of audit schedules for internal and external audits.
  11. Improvement of business processes through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and compliance with company policies.
  12. Maintenance of digital and physical financial records and an organized filing system.
  13. Reporting and recording of accidents or injuries occurring during official working hours.
