Job Description
We are currently seeking dynamic and self-motivated financial professionals eager to advance their careers.
As a Cost Controller, your primary responsibility is to maintain a system of internal controls, particularly in areas of Food & Beverage production and consumption. You will also provide advice to management on profitability, risk, and optimal use of hotel resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a system of internal controls for managing Food & Beverage resources, Operating Equipment, and Fixed Assets in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Ensure the orderly and efficient functioning of internal controls, adherence to hotel policies, and the safeguarding of resources while securing the completeness and accuracy of records.
- Manage the closing of books and prepare Cost Control Reports according to hotel standards.
- Analyze and interpret financial reports, identify trends, and make recommendations when necessary.
- Develop and maintain FBM & Micros databases adequately. Supervise the input and handling of financial/reference data for these systems.
- Supervise the Cost Control team, ensuring they are adequately trained, and their performance meets standards.
- Review and evaluate the efficiency of Food & Beverage Kitchens by establishing standard costing for menu items, buffets, standard yields, and other necessary means.
- Audit Outlet Beverages stock consumption for misuse or deviations from standard costs.
- Organize bi-annual Operating Equipment inventory in coordination with relevant departments.
- Develop and maintain a manual and computer filing system, ensuring proper naming, cataloging, and restricted access to authorized persons.
- Ensure an organized, safe, and clean workspace.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, prioritizing the health and safety of guests and employees, as well as environmental conservation.
- Comply with the hotel’s environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
