About The Role

Responsible for safe and reliable operation and maintenance and overall leadership of AGL’s wind farms, our Site Supervisor’s play a critical role in the ultimate success of the operation of the site.


In your new role of Site Supervisor, you will provide leadership, mentoring, development, and expert tactical decision making for the staff and operations at the MacArthur wind farm. You will champion safety, health and environmental matters and excellence in operations and maintenance. Leading the development of operational tasks such as roster development, training management, you will support the preparation of large maintenance campaigns and projects.


While this role is site office based, you will maintain daily interaction with field staff for the purpose of safety, quality assurance and other verification tasks to ensure the site meets the AGL’s operational standards. You will work closely with the Lead Site Technician (2IC) and will lead and be supported by a well-staffed site of site Service Technicians, HV Operators/Senior Technicians, as well as AGL’s extensive network of eBOP staff, operations, engineering, and other support functions.

What You’ll Be Doing


Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:


  • Champion safety, health and environmental care and excellence in operations and maintenance through active leadership, field verification and coaching.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to all Site Technicians, supporting their training and development.
  • Lead the development of site coordination activities (rostering, training plans and scheduling) and participate in planning for major outages and projects with the support of AGL’s maintenance support functions.

What You’ll Bring To The Table


  • Extensive experience providing leadership and supervision for industrial sites with experience in wind farm leadership preferred.
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement, process, and procedural improvement.
  • Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, risk assessment and management.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification and/or qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
  • Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training, qualifications in working at heights safety, HV certification, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, and first aid would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with works management (PTW, LOTO, Switching Operations).
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined environments.
  • Valid Victorian Driver’s license.
