The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) serves as an independent department within the government, established with the specific mandate of facilitating the recruitment process of employees into the Public Service. Governed by the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002 as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, section 29(1), our vision is to be a Center of Excellence in Public Service Recruitment in the region.
Mission: Our mission is to undertake the recruitment of Public servants using modern approaches while adhering to principles of equity, transparency, and meritocracy. We also provide advice to employers on employment-related matters.
Role: Human resource is a crucial factor in public service delivery, and thus, PSRS plays a vital role in recruiting public servants in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. We ensure quality and access to all applicants to deliver equitable Public Service in Tanzania.
Objective: Our aim is to improve government public service through efficient recruitment processes in accordance with our rules and regulations. Simultaneously, we aim to enhance good relations with our stakeholders.
Process: The Utumishi interview call for 2024 will be publicly announced to eligible applicants. Instructions for scheduling interview slots will be provided to applicants, and the announcement and scheduling process will follow clear guidelines.
