The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, at least one year of experience in handling engineering duties, strong project management skills, and a commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality standards. Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in engineering roles.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Graduate Engineer.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is highly desirable.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities:

HSEQ:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
  • Implement safety management systems and quality control measures.
  • Sign prevention plans and work permits before starting work with contractors.

Integrity Management:

  • Participate in technical integrity reviews and integrity steering committees.
  • Implement compensatory measures and corrective actions as needed.

Projects:

  • Manage projects related to depots and terminals.
  • Conduct engineering operations according to Total HSEQ and technical standards.
  • Prepare bidding documents and proposals for projects.
  • Supervise projects on-site and ensure they adhere to budget, quality, and time constraints.
  • Control project payments and maintain budgetary oversight.
  • Liaise with site managers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Total standards and Tanzanian regulations.

Context & Environment:

  • Work in high-risk areas necessitates thorough risk assessment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government institutions.
  • Address challenges such as contractor reliability, HSEQ compliance, and time and cost management.
