Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Engagement (30%)

  • Coordinate the implementation of the Refugees Supplementary Feeding Program effectively.
  • Collaborate with humanitarian organizations and local government leaders to support nutrition projects.
  • Guide project adherence to relevant guidelines and standards throughout implementation.

Project Management and Team Performance (30%)

  • Ensure high-performance management and accountability within the project team.
  • Provide supervision and support to project staff and government health workers.
  • Strengthen the capacity of volunteers and health workers through training and support.

Reporting (25%)

  • Communicate effectively with project teams, partners, and donors.
  • Prepare and submit accurate programmatic and financial reports on time.

Business Relationships and Networking (5%)

  • Foster partnerships with government and humanitarian organizations.
  • Represent WVT in networking events and workshops.

Core Values (5%)

  • Provide spiritual support to staff and reinforce organizational values.

Resource Management (5%)

  • Manage material and financial resources for stewardship and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Nutrition in Emergencies or related fields.
  • Experience working in refugee camps or community-level health and nutrition projects.
  • Proficiency in English and Swahili.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of nutrition interventions in emergency situations.
  • Familiarity with current Supplementary Feeding Program guidelines.

Working Environment:

  • Refugee camps and office-based.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically fit.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English and Swahili.

  • WFP and UNHCR field staff.
  • Plan International.

  • Ministry of Home Affairs.
