Business Development Manager at Boomplay
Position Overview:
Are you an ambitious and energetic professional with a passion for sales and business development? Transsnet Music Tanzania Limited (Boomplay) is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and expand our client base. As the front-facing representative of our company, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve sustainable financial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive digital ad sales and exceed sales quotas by building and maintaining long-term relationships with advertisers, ad agencies, and major partners.
- Stay updated on key digital advertising industry trends and adjust advertising development strategies accordingly.
- Collect market data according to HQ’s directions and secure sponsors and advertisers for Boomplay music offline events.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the music industry, pitch services to old and new clients, and make presentations to clients.
- Set organizational goals and develop plans for business and revenue growth, including researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives.
- Attend conferences, seminars, and industry events to expand networks and stay informed about market trends.
- Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers, providing insights into product development and competitive positioning.
- Analyze financial data, develop strategies to reduce business costs, increase company profits, and negotiate business deals with potential investors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing; master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in ad agency, business-to-business digital ad sales, or related field.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of marketing principles and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, with strong negotiation, decision-making, time management, and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of project management, strategic planning, and comprehensive marketing.
- Fluency in English is required, and candidates must demonstrate self-confidence, love for networking, and enjoy presenting and public speaking.
