Position: 2 Economists II

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Overview:

Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) is seeking dynamic, proactive, and qualified individuals to fill 2 vacant positions of Economists II. TPC, established by Act of Parliament No. 19 of 1993, is committed to providing accessible, affordable, and reliable postal services across Tanzania.

Entry Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Project Planning and Management, Economics and Statistics, Economics and Finance, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Statistics, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in issues related to planning and budgeting.
• Aid in planning and controlling development projects.
• Identify income generation activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of short and long-term plans and strategies.
• Prepare guidelines for planning and assist in coordinating, preparing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the strategic plan.
• Compile budget estimates of Directorates, Units, and Sections according to issued budget framework guidelines.
• Compile TPC’s projects, work plans, and monitor implementation.
• Review TPC’s strategic and business plans.
• Review and recommend TPC’s Action Plans.
• Propose strategies for improving performance.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Salary Scale: TPCSS 4

Age Limit: Not more than thirty years (30)
