How can you make a difference?

The WASH Specialist, reporting to the Chief of WASH (Level 4), provides guidance and supervision for System Strengthening Activities. The role involves supporting the development, preparation, management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the WASH program within the country. The incumbent offers technical guidance throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of WASH-related output results in the country program.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have:

Education:

  • An advanced university degree in finance, law, sanitation, water, or another relevant technical field is required.
  • Additional relevant post-graduate courses are a strong asset.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in WASH-related programs for developing countries is required.
  • Experience with WASH system strengthening and enabling environment policy, planning, and finances at District, Provincial, and/or National levels.

Language:

  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a local language is an asset.
